Google Merchant Center Breaking News
Google Merchant center has just notified us they will be discontinuing imports from e-commerce platforms with BigCommerce, PrestaShop, and Magento. If you are currently running any feeds, please be prepared for a full switch over from the 20th March 2018.
Google has basically realized that just sending feeds directly from the biggest eCommerce platforms is a mistake because you miss out on optimization opportunities.
So how do you proceed based on this news from Google?
Never fear, because Feedonomics already has APIs with BigCommerce, Prestashop, and Magento, letting you easily export your products, and optimize them BEFORE they reach Google Merchant Center, and hundreds of other channels.

Hello,
We’re writing to you today to let you know that we’re retiring the existing Google built e-commerce platform imports with BigCommerce, PrestaShop, and Magento. We’re retiring these imports in order to better focus on solutions that will make the Shopping ads onboarding a more seamless experience. We’re continuing to work with ecommerce platforms to explore more frictionless integration opportunities.
The BigCommerce Google Shopping app connected to your Google Merchant Center account xxxxxxxx and the associated feed will be retired on March 20, 2018 and will no longer provide your product data to Merchant Center.
Sincerely,
The Google Merchant Center Team
