Facebook has removed the custom tracking parameter option for dynamic ads. It can still be added in the feed for now. We are not sure what the cause of the sudden change was. No details from our account managers at Facebook just yet, we will keep you updated as we learn more.
Facebook is known to make changes to the platform at any given time, usually these changes are rolled out over the weekend. We do not always get a heads up from Facebook when changes are made, however everything that happens is constantly tested to provide users with a better experience.
The Facebook URL builder used to be positioned just below the URL field on an ad level.
Tip – Make sure to keep checking the Facebook forums for any announcements and most importantly look over the options on each element of your campaign build, ad group, and ad. You never know when some new amazing bit of functionality will be added or removed 😉
