Wish is a mobile eCommerce platform primarily focused on North American and Europe. The digital shopping experience provided by Wish is heavily targeted to mobile smartphone users and their app is available for in both the Google Play store as well as the Apple App Store.
How to create a Wish feed
The first step to creating a Wish feed is to create a merchant account by going through their initial signup process at https://merchant.wish.com/welcome. After your account is setup, you will need to begin setting up your store with a product feed.
You are able to batch upload multiple products at the same time by using their Add Products tool in the Merchant Dashboard. Go to Products, Add Products and then Feed File.
Required Fields with description of each field
|Unique ID||Provide the Unique Id/SKU you use internally to identify this item. This represents a single item/variation (size and/or color) of your product. The Unique Id serves to identify the variations within one item listing (product).|
|Product Name||Product names should be in the following format: Main brand + Sub-brand, family or product name + Up to 3 key attributes + Generic product type. Product Names must be clear and concise and should also be descriptive of the product being sold.|
|Quantity||Number of this SKU that are in stock. Please use inventory buffering for Wish specified inventory.|
|Tags||Non-hierarchical keyword or term assigned to each product in your feed. This kind of metadata helps describe an item and allows it to be categorized and found again by browsing on Wish.com. Tags should be comma separated, but do NOT use commas in individual tags. There is a maximum of 10 tags allowed per product.|
|Description||A detailed description of your product. Limit of 4,000 characters, and only the first 150 characters are displayed on the initial search page. Do not include any HTML code, details about store policies, other store-specific language or multiple lines.|
|Price||Enter price in US Dollars ($). The price of your product that will be displayed on Wish.com, without additional text. This is how much the customer will pay for the product.|
|Shipping||Estimated GROUND shipping cost per product in US Dollars ($). This is what Wish pays the Merchant for shipping the product. Should not contain any additional text.|
|Main Image URL||URL of a photo of your product. Link directly to the image, not the page where it is located. Wish accepts JPEG or GIF format. Do not include company logos or names or promotional or other identifying text. Images should be at least 100 x 100 pixels in size. Do not include any “image not found” images. Wish does not accept image URLs that begin with https://. Check out this article if you need help finding and copying an image URL.|
Optional Wish Feed Fields with description of each field
For the optional fields, if you do not need to add an attribute for a particular item, you can simply leave that column out of your spreadsheet. For example, if you are selling one size fits all socks and it does not require a size, then you may omit the ‘size’ column from your spreadsheet.
|Parent Unique ID||The Parent Unique Id identifies one product. A product can be comprised of multiple items (variations) and therefore multiple rows. The Parent Unique Id groups all size and/or color variations within a single product listing. Please keep the same Parent Unique Id for any updates to this item in future feeds. Wish.com’s system uses this Parent Unique Id to identify, track, update, and report on this item.|
|UPC||12-digit Universal Product Codes (UPC) contains no letters or other characters. A barcode symbology used for tracking trade items in stores and scanning them at the point of sale.|
|Merchant Name||The name of your store or how you will be most closely recognized by your customers.|
|Color||The color of the product, especially as it pertains to apparel or jewelry. Each color variation must be its own row in the feed, have its own unique SKU, and its own inventory level. The name of the color must be in the list of currently accepted colors found here.|
|Size||The size of the product, especially as it pertains to apparel, footwear, or jewelry. Each size variation must be its own row in the feed, have its own unique SKU, and its own inventory level. It must be either a number like 1, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, 2, 2.25, 2.5…, or one of “XXXS”, “XXS”, “XS”, “S”, “M”, “L”, “XL”, “XXL”, “XXXL”, “XXXXL”, “4XL”, “5XL”, “Single”, “Twin”, “Double”, “Full”, “Queen”, “King“, “Super King” or “California King”.|
|MSRP||Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price. This field is recommended as it will show as a strikethrough price on Wish and appears above the selling price for the product. It should contain no additional text.|
|Product Page||URL on your website containing the product detail and buy button for the applicable product. Please append analytics tracking codes at the end of your click-out URLs if applicable. We do not accept URLs that begin with https://.|
|Extra Image URL(s)||URL of a photo of your product. Link directly to the image, not the page where it is located. Same rules apply as Image URL (Default Image). You can specify up to 20 images separated by the character ‘|’.|
What formats does Wish accept (CSV, XML, API, etc)
Wish primarily wants users to upload product files via CSV but they also have the ability to receive files directly with their API
How to send your Wish feed (FTP, URL, etc)
The primary way to send your feed to Wish is by uploading a CSV file inside of the Merchant Center Interface. Login to your account and then click Products> Add New Products> Product CSV File. This will take you to http://merchant.wish.com/feed-upload . Once at this page, select your CSV file and click Submit.
You will then be directed to a new page where you will need to match your feed’s attribute names to ours. On this page you will also see a preview of the product information you are uploading. You should receive an immediate confirmation when your feed was accepted but please not that it may take up to 24 hours to finish importing your products
