The big news

We are thrilled to announce today that Feedonomics has been acquired by BigCommerce, a leading Open SaaS eCommerce platform for fast-growing and established brands. BigCommerce provides tens of thousands of B2B and B2C companies with a sophisticated eCommerce platform, empowering them to build, innovate, and grow their businesses online through enterprise-grade functionality, customization and performance, simplicity, and ease-of-use.

By combining BigCommerce’s leading eCommerce platform with our best-in-class product optimization and syndication platform and full-service solutions, we will create the most powerful platform for omnichannel eCommerce.

“This acquisition reflects our belief that Feedonomics offers the world’s best product feed optimization and syndication solution for merchants looking to optimize their advertising and selling via search engines, ad networks, social media sites, and marketplaces,” said Brent Bellm, CEO at BigCommerce in a press release announcement today. Bellm pointed out that these channels typically represent eCommerce merchants’ largest non-direct source of sales and second largest spending line item, after cost of goods.

“With Feedonomics, BigCommerce merchants maximize their omnichannel sales and ROAS by connecting, transforming, and enhancing their product data across hundreds of global channels. The combination catapults our ability to deliver the world’s most powerful eCommerce platform for omnichannel selling,” Bellm said.

Feedonomics has found a complementary partner in BigCommerce, which shares the same underlying commitment to providing world-class service, building industry-leading technology, and fostering an incredible culture.

“Early on in our relationship with BigCommerce, we recognized the amazing synergy between our two organizations, and have found both companies to be completely aligned with respect to our visions, market approach, and culture,” said Shawn Lipman, CEO at Feedonomics. “With BigCommerce servicing the critical layer of the eCommerce stack and Feedonomics providing best-in-class technology and service to list products everywhere, merchants of all sizes will be able to take advantage of our true omnichannel ecommerce offerings, to grow their businesses in an increasingly digital-first world.”

What does this change?

Feedonomics will continue to operate as an independent business unit of BigCommerce. Here’s what this means:

  • There will be NO impact on our clients. We will continue providing the best-in-class feed management technology and world-class service that our clients have become accustomed to receiving. This includes our commitment to continuous improvement and enhancing our existing platform and product offerings.
  • There will be NO impact on our partnerships. We will continue honoring our existing strategic partnerships and initiatives with global industry leaders.
  • There will be NO change regarding the platforms we support. We will continue servicing and supporting our clients that leverage various platforms and technologies.
  • There will be NO change in our company structure and leadership. Our obsessive commitment to service and our culture will continue to be at the forefront of everything we do.
