There are around five thousand Bing Shopping categories and you will need to assign the right product categories to your catalog if you want to place Bing Shopping ads.
Bing categories are specific and will only accept a valid predefined Bing taxonomy value from the Bing product taxonomy list. Partial paths for categories are not acceptable. Full paths must be used. For example, “Baby and Nursery | Baby Activities | Swings” is valid while “Swings” or “Baby and Nursery” alone is invalid.
