Required Rubicon Project feed fields

Field NameDescription
Product SKUThe Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) number which should be an alpha-numeric code around 8 digits long.
Product URLLink to the product page on the website.
Product titleName of the product (e.g. golf shoes).
Product imageLink to the product image (e.g. JPEG image). Make sure pictures are good size and resolution to avoid images appearing pixelated.

*Note: Field names do not need to match exactly with these examples. As long as the information and description is accurate, any field name can be entered.

Optional Rubicon Project feed fields

Field NameDescription
Product priceTotal price, without including any currency symbols or additional characters
Product categoryIf you wish to assign a category for the product (e.g. sportswear).
Product descriptionA brief text description (a couple of sentences) of the product.
Product brandDetail of the brand, if you wish to separate this from the description.
Quantity availableHow many of the product that you have in stock.
Sale priceIf you are advertising sale stock, you can put the discount price here.
Sale price end dateDate that the discount price will end.

*Note: the product feed can include as many or as few optional feed fields as is desired.

What formats does Rubicon Project accept?

The Rubicon Project accepts CSV, TXT and XML. In CSV and TXT files, each line includes all of the fields/data for a specific product, and each field is separated by a comma. For example, line one may include the following for the first product item: product SKU, product URL, title, image, price, description. Line two would include the same for product item two, and so on.

How to send your feed to the Rubicon Project?

You can either send a sample of your feed to your Account Manager, or you can submit by FTP or HTTP. If you send to your Account Manager, you will receive an SFTP location where you can upload your feed.

You are free to name your feed as you please as long as the name format is consistent. Ideally, feeds should be updated regularly. Feed information should not use UTF-8 and special characters inside the feed should be avoided where possible.
