Important Questions & Answers
Do you need SDK pixel somewhere in order to get the catalog to deep link to the app?
Yes you will need to integrate the Facebook pixel via the mobile SDK in order to deep link into the app.
For A/B testing, are results evaluated through the publisher? Assuming test is done by splitting SKUs into two groups - Are the two groups served evenly and randomly?
Correct. Feedonomics can evenly split two groups with our math functions that ensure randomness.
How do you handle variants and families? For example, if one family has different colors?
We can either create one variant per row that we send to Facebook, or we can roll up all variants into one parent-level row. We usually default to the first image_link.
how would facebook feed need to be changed from google shopping search feed to increase platform performance
Better use of custom labels for more granular bidding, different titles that make users remember the exact product the looked at, and image padding.
Are there requirements concerning checkout occuring on the site being linked to in a product feed? Versus that site linking out to other sites where the product can be purchased.
Yes, the site you are running Facebook DPA has to match both the pixel and URLs in the feed.
Are there requirements concerning checkout occuring on the site being linked to in a product feed? Versus that site linking out to other sites where the product can be purchased.
When filtering or excluding products, whether it be for pricing or promotion reasons, would you suggest apply that filter at the feed level or catalog/product set level. The resetting of the ads and lack of manipulation available once a product set is created can be frustrating.
What's the best way to quickly scale a successful DPA campaign while maintaining a good ROAS?
Start off with the basics like retargeting those who add your product to cart and broaden from there to people who viewed pages. Then go for similar audiences on Facebook.
Can you choose to target similar products in Dynamic Ads based on IDs/product pages that have been clicked before?
Yes you can.
Can you use Product Feeds to fill Facebook shop for a page? For instance, we do a product feed which fills a catalog for ads, BUT thus far have to build individual products into Facebook shop separately.
Yes you will need to integrate the Facebook pixel via the mobile SDK in order to deep link into the app.
Can you elaborate further on prospecting (using broad audiences) with DPA ads? How would those be configured if the user hasn’t visited my website.
Facebook allows you to target in many ways – based on interests, groups, likes, etc. For example, you could target your new running shoes to people who like running.
Can you use a single catalogue for any device & Audience ?
Yes you can use a single product feed and then have multiple targeting options.
What is the benefit of targeting by device?
People convert different on different devices, especially based on the device they used to check the product vs buy it.
Is there a way to cap frequency of the DPA ads delivery?
The only way to do this currently is to make a custom API and check impressions and then remove certain products from the feed.
We have multiple part numbers for the same part. Does FB allow replication of lines within a feed for multiple part numbers to be able to drive to the same link?
Yes Facebook does allow for replication of lines within a feed for multiple part numbers. In general they’re a lot less strict than Google Shopping in that respect.
What is the process within Facebook to allow images to be A/B tested using the Image Link and Additional Image Link?
In Feedonomics we can select a portion of products to A/B test image_link vs additional_image_link.
Can you pull listings from the Multiple listing service for Realtors?
Yes we can create dynamic feeds using any MLS.
