Reading through Google Shopping’s support pages for beta target countries, we found that they will soon expand to the following countries:

Argentina
Colombia
Chile
Ireland
Malaysia
New Zealand
Philippines
Portugal
Singapore
South Africa
United Arab Emirates

This is an exciting way to get additional traffic and sales from countries that are completely untapped for Google Shopping.

The steps to getting up and running for these beta countries:

  • For now, you should ensure that you provide the correct currency and language specific to each Google Shopping beta country.
  • In Google Merchant Center, you can register a new feed for the beta target country and submit the product data.
  • In your AdWords account, create a new Shopping campaign and select the beta target country.

You can expect traffic to be lower and to fluctuate in these countries as Google Shopping is still in beta status, and will be undergoing testing.
