Chapter 4

Expanding into the global market

Still reeling from the company's marketplace struggles, Albert finally convinces Galaxia to invest in a feed management platform provider.

Unfortunately, a friend of a friend works at SalesTransmitter, so there's no hope in steering her toward Feedonomics.

SalesTransmitter automates feed setup and catalog syndication—two processes that gave Elemental Eyes fits in the past—but learning to use SalesTransmitter's technology is a full-time job.

Even though his team is still getting up to speed, Albert feels pressure from Galaxia to move forward with their plans for planetary expansion.

Galaxia knows there's a market for multi-purpose eyewear on other planets, and she's especially giddy about outfitting the Oridians, who have four pairs of eyes. Elemental Eyes partners with a digital marketing agency to help manage ad campaigns across these new regions.

Unfortunately, when Elemental Eyes runs into problems keeping its data accurate across markets and resolving errors on its other channels, SalesTransmitter doesn’t provide much support beyond sending a few training holograms. When the agency struggles to make feed changes and run holiday promotions in different regions, it takes days to receive a response.

The limited customer service makes Albert wish Omniverse Alisha was around.

After weeks of inaccurate product listings, Elemental Eyes’ seller account is suspended on Groogle and AmaSun, and revenue targets are missed. Once the monthly invoice from SalesTransmitter comes through, Albert feels like he’s not getting what he paid for.

He seeks refuge in the orb.

In the Omniverse, Albert is planning his first vacation in years. The interplanetary rollout has gone smoothly.

Albert worked closely with his dedicated Feedonomics team to plan the expansion, identifying target markets and setting up feeds in other languages.

Feedonomics provides 24/7 support, meaning feed specialists are always available to make feed adjustments, create custom labels, and segment products into groups for A/B testing. Inventory is also synchronized across channels with localized data.

This full-service approach enables Elemental Eyes to successfully launch in six new regions, giving Albert the peace of mind to be more strategic than reactive.
