Elemental Eyes wants to improve its D2C business, and Albert sees marketplaces like AmaSun, eSpace, and Worldmart as ideal growth channels.
He asks Galaxia to consider Feedonomics, but when she hears “feed,” she remembers she’s hungry and tells him to leave her office. Albert shudders—you really don't want to be in the way when it's time for her to eat.
The developers are unavailable to build API connections with each sales channel, so he settles for a self-service product listing app instead, using it to send the company's catalog to AmaSun.
The initial catalog send goes OK, but Albert's team must upload an inventory feed on a daily basis to keep stock on the marketplace up-to-date.
That's where the issues begin. Not only is the app slow and unreliable, but it also doesn't provide any support, so his team must work directly with the marketplace when it struggles to resolve listing errors.
It's a failed experiment, and Albert feels the full weight of it in the look Galaxia gives him when she reviews first-quarter sales from AmaSun. It's safe to say Elemental Eyes won't be selling on eSpace or Worldmart any time soon.
As he hums along to AmaSun's hold music one night, Albert thinks about what a better future might look like.
Any reality is better than this one, he decides, so he grabs the Omniverse Orb and ponders away.
Ponder the orb
In the Omniverse, Albert sees a helpful face at the ready. Feedonomics has provided Elemental Eyes with a dedicated feed manager—Alisha—who stays up-to-date on marketplace requirements and best practices, and uses the Feedonomics platform to create optimized catalogs for AmaSun, eSpace, and Worldmart.
The Feedonomics platform has data protections in place to catch potential errors, so Albert has Alisha send the company's full product assortment to all three channels with confidence.
Feedonomics has existing integrations with hundreds of shopping destinations, so when Robot Plus is looking for new pilot merchants, Feedonomics helps Albert expand to another marketplace with ease.
When Galaxia sees the marketplace revenue numbers, she gives Albert a double high-five, which he's never experienced before. Omniverse Galaxia seems really fun.
